The Artists’ Staircase, built in 2017, stands out for its colorful decorations and installations that transform the steps into true works of art. Born as a work of urban redevelopment and designed by the Agrigento association Onlus Culturart, this staircase is considered a true work of art and is among the sixteen most colorful staircases in the world.

The Church of Santo Spirito in Agrigento is part of the Cistercian Monastery of the same name, which was founded in the 13th century by the noblewoman Marchisia Prefoglio, whom I will tell you about later. The Gothic-style church has a facade decorated with a central rose window and medieval architectural elements, typical of Sicily in that period.

The Porta di Ponte, dating back to the 9th century, was the most important entrance gate to the city of Agrigento, which overlooked the Via Atenea. Originally equipped with a drawbridge, it was surmounted by a Gothic arch with the coat of arms of Frederick III of Aragon, king of Sicily from 1296 to 1337.

The Belvedere Arancio in Agrigento is one of the most suggestive panoramic points of the city. This place is also called Belvedere Kolymbethra, being close to the Garden of Kolymbethra which I will tell you about later. It is located near the historic center, in the upper part of Agrigento, and offers a breathtaking view of the famous Valley of the Temples and the Sicilian coast.

The Regional Archaeological Museum “Pietro Griffo” of Agrigento is one of the main archaeological museums in Sicily, with a collection that documents in detail the history and evolution of the city of Agrigento, formerly known as Akragas, and its territory

The Valley of the Temples is one of the most important and spectacular archaeological sites in the world, a UNESCO heritage site. This archaeological park is home to a series of ancient temples, built during the Greek domination in Sicily, which date back mainly to the 5th century BC. A must do when in Agrigento!
