This document governs the use of the website and the display of links and widgets made available by third-party platforms.

1. Purpose

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the website bitethecity.com and the tourism and food content published on it.

2. Role of BiteTheCity and affiliate programs

BiteTheCity works as a content and affiliate marketing platform. Some pages include links, banners, widgets or search boxes which redirect users to external platforms, mainly GetYourGuide and Viator.

If a user completes a booking through those tools and the experience takes place, BiteTheCity may receive a commission according to the partner’s affiliate rules.

Important: bookings, payments, cancellations and refunds are handled directly by the third-party platform and/or by the supplier. In case of conflict, the Terms and Conditions of GetYourGuide or Viator always prevail.

3. Prices and payments

Prices displayed via widgets or integrations are provided by the partner platforms and may change without notice. Payment is made on the external platform, using the methods and currencies defined by that platform.

4. Booking and confirmation

A booking is completed only when the user receives a confirmation from the external platform. Users must carefully check date, time, meeting point and instructions contained in the confirmation.

5. Partner content and trademarks

Descriptions, photos, availability and operational details shown inside GetYourGuide/Viator boxes are taken from their systems and are published “as is”. Trademarks mentioned on the site belong to their respective owners.

6. User obligations

  • use the website lawfully;
  • not to copy partner contents without authorisation;
  • comply with times and requirements stated in the booking;
  • where needed, inform the supplier about allergies or special needs.

7. Cancellations and refunds

For experiences purchased on GetYourGuide or Viator, the cancellation policy shown on the relevant activity page applies. Any refund must be requested directly from the platform on which the booking was made.

8. Liability limitations

  • BiteTheCity is not responsible for the actual performance of the experience by the supplier;
  • it is not liable for cancellations, delays, overbooking, weather or force majeure;
  • it is not liable for damages to people or property during the activity, except for fraud or gross negligence as provided by law.

10. Complaints

For issues related to the site or its content, users can write to info@bitethecity.com. For issues related to bookings or experiences purchased via GetYourGuide or Viator, users must contact the platform’s customer service indicated in the confirmation.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Italian law. For EU consumers, mandatory consumer protection laws of their country of residence also apply. For any other dispute, the Court of Parma (Italy) shall have jurisdiction.

12. Legal notice / no legal advice

This text is for informational purposes and is based on the publicly available information of affiliate programs. It is not legal advice. For tax or tourism-package matters, please consult your advisor.
