Itinerary
Our tour starts from Piazza del Ferrarese, at the beginning of the historic center. Your guide will be waiting for you near the entrance door of the Spazio Murat - exhibition space. Let the tour begin!
During this stage of the tour we will visit the famous Basilica of San Nicola and taste the typical Bari focaccia in one of the oldest bakeries in the city. Focaccia from Bari is a typical Apulian dish, to be enjoyed hot and savored in every piece. The classic version is with cherry tomatoes and olives!
Walking through the alleys of the city center, we pass the majestic Bari Cathedral. We will then continue to a local deli, where you can taste a selection of typical cold cuts and cheeses, accompanied by a glass of local wine.
Delicious and crispy slices of fried polenta, sgagliozze are the typical street food to eat walking through the alleys of Bari, along with fried popizze (leavened dough pancakes), a "must" for Bari cuisine.
Right after, we will taste the typical Bari panzerotto.
