Explore the hilltop historic village citta alta (upper town) with its wealth of medieval, Renaissance and baroque architecture. Prepare your taste buds for an unforgettable experience filled with delectable food tastings.

End your tour at this cafe clad piazza, lined by elegant architecture spanning the city history. Admire the 17th century Palazzo Nuovo and the imposing arches and columns of the Palazzo della Regione, built in the 12th century. Next to the palace the Torre del Campanone and not far the Baroque Cathedral, the Romanesque Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore and the enchanting Renaissance Cappella Colleoni.
