Itinerary
Your private English-speaking guide will pick you up at your hotel or port at your preferable hour in the morning, and you will start your private tour discovering Sicily. The guide will explain you how Etna volcano created, history of eruptions and culture. Driving by private comfortable car through the small authentic mountain villages, you will admire unforgettable picturesque views of Sicilian countryside full of oranges and lemon plantations, olives and almond trees, houses and old churches built of lava stone. continue to ascend Etna reaching "Rifugio Sapienza" station at 2000 mt. Here you can visit famous Silvestri Craters, admire breathtaking panoramas, visit souvenir shops offering gifts of lava, refresh yourself in some bar or restaurant.
For logistic reasons, for guests travelling from Messina Port, we offer for a visit of the Sartorius Craters located on the North Side of Mt. Etna. - Included in the three hours are transfers to Etna and back

The tour will continue in Savoca, a must-see Sicilian hilltop village world-renowned thanks to F.F. Coppola, who filmed his legendary movie "The Godfather" here. The guide will tell you about the filming process, share trivia, and reveal the real story of the Sicilian Mafia. You will walk through the authentic streets of Savoca, which have remained unchanged since the movie was made. Visit ancient churches, Bar Vitelli where Michael spoke to Apollonia’s father, and the Church of Santa Lucia where the couple was married. Follow the same path down the hill into town that the newlyweds did, and perhaps even meet some locals who were cast in the movie, like the signora who played Apollonia's mother! At the of the walking tour you will stop at a traditional “trattoria”, where you will taste organic locally produced Sicilian antipasti a dish of the traditional “Pasta alla Norma “, served with local wine.
