Itinerary
Your journey to the the picturesque Prosecco paradise of Valdobbiadene will begin in style with a private water taxi pick-up direct from your Venice hotel. From there, you will be taken to your Private Mercedes Minivan to head north towards the charming countryside of Treviso, with our round-trip transportation taking the stress out of navigation and planning. As you relax and enjoy the scenic drive, around 50 miles from Venice, you will catch sight of the rolling Prosecco hills as you approach Valdobbiadene.
Duration: 60 minutes
Valdobbiadene is a wine-growing region, famous for its Prosecco. Around an hour's drive north of Venice, it makes for a beautiful day trip, especially for wine lovers who can enjoy the spoils of its Prosecco Superiore vineyards, widely considered to be some of the best in the country. The region is home to almost 200 wineries and produces over 100 million bottles of Prosecco Superiore annually.
Your first stop will be at a prestigious family-run winery, where you will enjoy an enthralling explanation of the vineyard’s history from one of the winemakers themselves. You will have the opportunity to wander through the vineyards and get an insider look at their particular winemaking process, before enjoying a tasting of 4 different types of Prosecco Valdobbiadene DOCG.
You will have some free time to have lunch at a typical local tavern handpicked by your guide (not included). Then you will enjoy another winery tour followed by your second tasting of 4 more varieties of Prosecco.
