Located beneath the hilltop village of Le Forna, Cala Feola is a picturesque cove that also functions as a small harbor for local fishing boats. Its calm, crystal-clear waters and nearby natural rock pools make it one of Ponza’s favorite swimming spots.
Cala dell’Acqua takes its name from a natural freshwater spring that once supplied the island. The source was already used in Roman times, when Ponza served as an important maritime stop in the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Overlooking the sea, Forte Papa is a historic defensive fort that once guarded Ponza’s coastline. Nearby, the wreck of a U.S. World War II landing craft lies beneath the crystal-clear water, adding a fascinating layer of modern history.

Punta Incenso marks the northernmost point of Ponza, where rugged cliffs plunge into deep blue waters. This wild and unspoiled stretch of coastline offers some of the island’s most dramatic views and crystal-clear swimming spots.
