Itinerary
You will try the first traditional Lucca dish, the "Buccellato" in a local boutique pâtisserie. Typical sweet bread, Buccellato, is made from simple ingredients. It is a baked product with very ancient origins, originally with a circular and ring shape that has recently given way to oval versions that are more convenient to pack and transport.
Duration: 30 minutes
A fun and tasty experience to get to know the city like a true local! Tordelli, Lucca's regional dish par excellence, a pasta stuffed with all kinds of goodies: meat, cheese, chard, mortadella and dressed with delicious meat sauce or with oil and cacio cheese. A unique speciality that you can only find in Lucca.
Duration: 60 minutes
You will enjoy a lovely glass of red wine in the square or inside an old-style tavern/bar. Tuscany is famous for its cold cuts and Lucca is certainly no exception. You will taste the best cold cuts in the area accompanied by a good glass of local wine.
Duration: 90 minutes
Nearby we'll be able to try the local street food, the cecina, by a street shop vendor before trying some chocolate in a trusted bar. Cecina is a typical thin focaccia made with a mixture of chickpea flour, water, salt and olive oil. Soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, a must-have dish when visiting Tuscany! Afterwards, choose from a selection of chocolates exclusively made in Tuscany or a delicious ice cream. The best way to end the tour on a high note! Or try a refreshing Italian gelato! End the tour with a true italian espresso.
