Itinerary
We will start with Parmigiano Reggiano, one of the oldest cheeses known and which is still produced today as it was eight centuries ago. It will be an opportunity to delve deeper into the history of Parmigiano Reggiano delle Vacche Rosse, the bovine breed from which everything originated and which was protected by far-sighted breeders. You will witness the manufacturing process, the birth of the cheese wheel and finally a delicious tasting of different maturations of Parmigiano Reggiano delle Vacche Rosse.
Duration: 120 minutes
Before lunch, you can enjoy a walk to discover the city where, in 1797, the Tricolor was born - destined to become the Italian flag. Among the streets and squares of the historic center, you will discover places and curiosities of Reggio Emilia, known today also for its gastronomy, industriousness, quality of life and, internationally, for the best nursery schools in the world. A traditional menu awaits you at lunch, to savor the Parmigiano Reggiano delle Vacche Rosse in typical dishes of the Reggio Emilia tradition.
