Duration: 240 minutes
You’ll visit the famous town of Positano where you have time to explore the town and the old city center on your own. Shop the trendy boutiques, sip on a glass of wine under a beach umbrella or treat your palette to a tasting of some local delicacies while gazing out to the cerulean sea.
Duration: 60 minutes
In Praiano, you’ll see the Church of San Gennaro. The beautiful Renaissance church built in XVI century is, arguably, the most photographed church on the coast with its majolica tiled dome and piazza. The church is also one of the central figures in the unique presepi (a miniature scene) built in the mountainside just outside Praiano.
At a stop in Conca dei Marini, you may visit the Emerald Grotto, a natural cave with brilliant blue and green waters, which were in fact the inspiration for its name. The exquisite colors of the water, reflecting on the ceilings and floors, cast a mysterious and almost holy glow on the walls of the cavern. Plus, the view at this stop is picture-perfect of the Gulf of Salerno and the 6th century "White Tower" in the distance.
Duration: 30 minutes
We’ll visit the major seaside resort of Amalfi, where we recommend a stop at one of the oldest pastry shops on the coast, a visit to the marvelous Cathedral of Saint Andrew (one of my favorite churches throughout Italy), and a stroll around the small city center.
Duration: 60 minutes
Time-permitting, we’ll stop in Ravello, a peaceful and charming medieval town, where we highly recommend a visit to the beautiful gardens of Villa Rufolo or the "Terrace of Infinity" at Villa Cimbrone to enjoy the breathtaking views of the coast. Plus, visit the 11th century Duomo or ask us to arrange a winery tour for tasting. (Cost of winery tour/tasting not included in rate.)
Duration: 60 minutes
If you want, at lunch time, your driver will take you to a spectacular authentic Italian restaurant located above Positano. You’ll receive a friendly and warm welcome by the members of this family-owned restaurant. You’ll dine family-style on the open-air terrace overlooking their garden, the farms and vineyards dotting the hillside and the roof-tops of Positano far below. The menu will be Mama’ s surprise, but will be freshly prepared with ingredients from their garden and will include wine.
